[Podcast] Chatting about UX job searches with Laura Klein, host of What is Wrong with Hiring

Updated: Sep 1

I had quite the fun, no bullshit, little-bit-weird chat with the amazing Laura Klein on her new podcast, What is Wrong With Hiring. Laura is the author of Build Better Products: A Modern Approach to Building Successful User-Centered Products, 2016, Rosenfeld Media.

Episode summary:

"Laura talks with Amy Santee about what candidates really want to know, what it's like hiring designers and other tech people right now, and what hiring managers can do to make it easier for everybody. Drink Pairing: H20 (It's rough out there. Stay hydrated!)"

Find the recording here, or find it on your favorite podcast app.

PS: I am a huge fan of Laura's previous podcast with Kate Rutter called What is Wrong with UX, which aired its last episode in March 2022. These two UX veterans/heroines bring an energizing perspective to worn out topics in design (careers, craft, the value of UX), with a refreshing cocktail of acerbic wit, healthy skepticism, and handfuls of truth bombs. And actual real booze, with an agreed upon drink pairing of hard cider, Veuve Clicquot rosé, or "anything out of a hip flask".
